AirQua Frequently Asked Questions
AirQua is an innovative unique technology that can
provide high quality pure drinking water by extracting
water from natural air. The methods employed to produce
potable water by tapping into nature's hydrologic cycle
are unique and are a result of years of research and
field testing. AirQua's atmospheric water generator can
produce anywhere from 20 litters a day to unlimited
quantities of pure drinking water.

How long is its life span?
If the machine is used as designed and as specified
in the owner's manual, and proper maintenance procedures
are employed, then the unit will operate well for over
15 years.

How will it operate in areas with no humidity?
Low humidity conditions are a challenge for any
system that extracts moisture from the air. The system
will not produce water during the day in the desert or
in very hot climates due to less humidity. However it
will still produce water at night due to the dew point
factor.

How much does a litre of water cost?
Cost of generating water depends on the capacity of the
machine as well as on humidity and temperature
conditions. The cost per litre would be around UX$0.05 ~
US$0.13 depending on these factors.

Does the water meet World Health Organisation's
Drinking Water standards?
Yes, it more than meets the current standards of the
World Health Organisation (WHO) Drinking Water
Standards.

What about maintenance?
The only required maintenance is the periodic cleaning
of the air filters and water storage tank. The carbon
filter needs to be changed every six months and the UV
filter once a year.

Can the machine's water generating capacity be made
to order?
Yes. For large water requirements, the machines have
to be custom built.

How do I start my machine after I receive it?
Start by reading the owner's manual carefully.
Place the machine in any room that is preferably non-airconditioned
but make sure it is placed 10 inches or 25 cm from the
wall. (consumer model)
Let the machine remain standing and unplugged for at least (6) hours.
Plug the machine and turn the switch to ON. Do not be
alarmed if you don't hear the machine running, the
computer has been programmed to check all the components
to ensure they are in proper running condition. Your AirQua unit will enter normal
operating state in 3 minutes. If for

When will my machine start making water?
Depending on your geographical location, humidity
level and temperature. If you are in a warmer and more
humid region, then your machine will start making water
in a few hours. In most cases you should be able to
enjoy hot and cold Pi water within 10 hours.

Principles of Operation
A new technology coming to this part of world for the
first time, AirQua uses advanced refrigeration
techniques optimized to condense water from air. Air is
drawn into the system through an electrostatic filter.
In the machine's exterior housing, a compressor
circulates refrigerant through a coil array located in
the path of the air providing a temperature differential
between the air and coil surface, resulting in
condensation.
The condensation is funneled into a holding tank. A
level switch in the holding tank controls the water
making cycle. Water is pump circulated in an ozone
generating UV light chamber to kill bacteria and then
through high and low density charcoal filters to remove
solids and oxygenates. It is finally collected back in
the holding tank. The water filtration cycle is both
flow and time controlled. Water is dispensed by tap
valve diversion.

The most important advantage of an AirQua unit is that
all the major competitive supply companies begin with
either tap water or well water or salt water and add
their filtering process to purify water, which can then
be used for bottling. Whereas an AirQua begins with
nature's atmospheric water - source created by God.
It is also environment friendly by virtue of its unique
condensation technique and multi-layered electrostatic
filtering and ionising process which ignores pollution.

Operating Environment
An AirQua unit works most efficiently in warm areas with
high humidity. Water generating capacities will vary
according to these meteorological variables.
In an area approximately 2500 miles (4000 kms) north and
south of the Equator, annual temperatures and relative
humidity permit continuous, efficient operation of water
production. These areas are where nearly 70% of the
world's populations reside and where the world's most
acute water crisis exist.
